Mrs. Pauline Tetlow --- Teacher
Welcome to preschool! I'm looking forward to getting to know your little ones. My background is special education and early childhood education. Westwood has been my home for 16 years, and I love raising my family in this community. My two beautiful girls attended this preschool and are now in high school and college. I started teaching here when my younger daughter attended the Westwood Club Preschool and have been here ever since.
Mrs. Rubab Gulamhussainwala ---Teacher
My name is Rubab Gulamhussainwala. I have been working with children for 10 years and truly have a passion for childcare. I have studied Early Childhood Education and am taking classes to complete my ECE degree and to better my education skills and techniques. I love working with children and seeing their eyes light up when they discover something new. I admire their endless energy, honesty and creativity that they bring into the classroom each day. Nothing makes me happier than to watch young children grow and develop into confident, self-sufficient learners.
Mrs. Preethi Sudi --- Teacher
My name is Preethi Sudi! I have a deep passion for early childhood education and love working with young children. I hold a Master’s in Biotechnology and am working towards an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. I have been actively involved in volunteering at my kid’s schools. This is my third year working with Westwood Club Preschool. Outside the classroom, I enjoy hiking, cooking, sewing, gardening, and spending time with my family. I am excited and looking forward to meeting all the wonderful families and to support your child’s growth and development in the classroom.
Michell Lyons---Teacher
It is a pleasure to be joining the WWC Preschool team. I have been raising my three children in the Rancho Bernardo area, and the preschool age group has always held a special place in my heart. I started my career as a Civil Engineer but have recently finished my Child Development Associate Teacher Certificate at Palomar College. I am excited to continue working with youth after years of youth volunteering.
Mrs. Julie Ater --- Director
I graduated with a BS in Early Childhood Education and Family Studies and have been teaching and working with children for the last 30+ years. Many of those years have been in the classroom setting with the last 9 years being here at Westwood Club. I am excited and honored to be named the Director as I start my tenth year. Westwood Club Preschool has had a special place in my heart since both of my children attended here 25 years ago! I feel blessed to be a part of a great team here and am passionate about helping to guide children as they navigate their world and learn to use their voices. There is nothing better than watching a child make a discovery and find confidence in their successes. ~~ Julie
